I play the Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder role playing games, as well as a variety of video games when I have the time. The Resources page contains a number of gaming resources, most of which are for Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder. Commentary and other information about gaming-related things appear below. |

Back due to popular (?) demand is a 4th Edition New Character Sheet with its skills arranged vertically and the entire back side of the page being devoted to powers. Head over to the Resources page to find it. This does not replace the regular one, so fear not if you have become used to using that one. |

The site's layout has changed to follow more of an
announcement-style layout now that Google has conveniently made one
available.
As a side effect older posts have to go in with the wrong dates,
although notes about their original posting dates are included for the
curious. Really old posts (those from the old host) went into
the Archive page. (Originally posted on 20 Nov 2009) |

Font management is annoying, and even
worse, the only free font editor out there is unstable. This makes
keeping
track of and installing the proper fonts difficult, to say the
least.
Revision 11 of the 4th
Edition New Character Sheet fixes
the
extra skill training bonuses everyone in my group tried to apply to
themselves.

There is a typo in the Skills section
of the 4th Edition New Character Sheet where the bonus one gains for
training in
a skill varies by column. I will fix this the next time I happen to have
Office and
Acrobat installed at the same time again.

Here we have it: a complete revamp of the
4th
Edition New Character Sheet and Power
Record Sheet. One line per power / power-like feature, powers on
the front
of the sheet so you don't have to keep flipping the page back and forth,
and
more footnote references hopefully help make this rendition better than
the
last. Everything that is no longer on the front went to the back. Try
this one
out and let me know what you think.

It's clear the Powers section of the
New Character Sheet needs work, but I'm at a loss for how to reorganize
it
without leaving too much whitespace for people who don't have many of a
certain
type of power. Let me know if you have any thoughts on how to fix it. Maybe at some point they
can add
the ability for viewers to comment on this page instead. *Grumble,
grumble...*

New site. Google Page Creator is
closing down, so this will be the site's new location.

I completely missed a formatting
problem on the New Character Sheet, which is now fixed.
